    even in smaller businesses and outside of management, I’ve mostly had to work less hard the more I got paid. I’ve gotten better at my job, yes, but I’m definitely putting in less effort. It’s wild.

    And people who are even kinda good at deflecting when they fuck up and taking credit for shit they didn’t do just zoom to the top. It’s obvious to me when they do it but it must not be to everyone because we keep hiring them.
