Oh noes! It acknowledges different people
The 1990s: “Lol look at the LOSER and his VIDEO GAMES AND ANIME! Can’t you have COOLER hobbies!?”
2010s to now: “Video games are RUINED because they’re alienating NORMIES like ME! I’m the standing authority on video games!”
Go back to sportsball and shut the fuck up. You’re not a real nerd, you’re a failed frat bro. Stop trying to gentrify my hobbies.
G*mers in the 90’s were relentlessly bullied by “normies” for being weird. Now the “weird” people are into games and the G*mers want to be the “normies” who used to oppress them. It’s one hell of a logic.
maybe they’re not mastectomy scars, maybe they’re where the character’s breasts were bitten off by a dragon
The game that has been about being gay with your party members for decades is now woke. Pack it up
Chaya confirmed pro-breast-cancer
I’m super pissed off about a video game I’ve literally never played in my life so basically I’m an expert on it.
Oh no not options that show up once during character creation that you won’t even see again for the rest of the game
This just in:
Fantasy series with a recurring conflict centring 'round the struggles of people oppressed by a heavily Christianity-coded religious order; with a large, diverse cast including a lot of queer characters; suddenly declared woke.
Experts are baffled.
They let children play as a thing called a dwarf, they're short, stout and don't dream because they lack a connection to the Veil
It's an insult to our Judeo-Andrastean values
Origins had gay romances. And it wasn’t even that everyone was “playersexual” or whatever, half the romances were gender locked. Leliana and Zevran were fucking bisexual in 2009.
did anyone else play that horribly localized and buggy af F2P MMO “Age of Wushu”? a friend of mine and i played it for a few years like a decade ago, because it ran on my shitty laptop and it let us be turds in pvp. that was sort of my thing for a while with online gaming. being hostile to everyone/RPK and being just an aggressive person. which was easy in that game, because somehow they had everyone convinced that being a total masterful and highly cultured sifu, clothed in the finest silks with ornate hair was totally worth dumping money and time into. so finding shitty rags, looking busted as hell, joining only the most evil and hated schools, and figuring out cheap moves to gank some sophisticated, honorable lordling in a back alley and then evading their furious retribution was very doable as a free player. don’t get me wrong, the game was a massive piece of garbage and borderline unplayable with how buggy and incomprehensible it was. we used to joke that it was an MMO game within a kafkaesque puzzle game. also, i got my ass kicked a lot by very powerful characters, but it’s a video game so who cares… and it’s the kind of thing that will make you amazing at being a slippery piece of crap.
anyway, i remember us discovering that there was a secret evil in-game school of nefarious court eunuchs a player could join if we castrated our characters. the process was too complicated to figure out with the poor localization and i think it would cost a few bucks of IRL dough, but we really thought about it because it seemed like the type of thing that would only further enrage a certain type of loser. not that any of this is related exactly, but sometimes i remember that game and laugh about how different/strange it was compared to other games ive played.
I’m not normally into pvp but I have a grudging respect for people wrecking whales with low tier stuff.
