I think there may be a physical aspect to this piece that is lost without the ability to move in relation to it, without shots from multiple angles, or a video.
I agree; I’ve noticed that with art like this a big part of the experience is being able to take in a lot of different angles and decide how to view it. I never thought Jackson Pollock paintings were interesting in photos, but when I got to see one in person the texture and depth from different angles made it a totally different experience.
is this loss?
You assholes have me trained to look for that in any square picture with lines now!
It’s dignity
I guess? If you squint just right
It… might be
I never really understand art like this. It’s unique, and interesting, and fun to look at, but it’s really not that special unless I’m missing something.
It’s just random shapes, and a unique set up. Like cutting the apples and fruit in certain ways.
Just seems like a lot of work for something to look at for 3 seconds since there’s nothing else to it.
Not all art needs to be a meta-commentary on the duality of man. Sometimes art can just be cool shapes.
It’s probably better in 3d
What am I looking at. Coffee with foam?
