    @OutofPrintArchive@mstdn.games I also really think game devs that think of their game as a sum of its parts make much worse games than those who have a vision of the project as a whole.

        @OutofPrintArchive@mstdn.games It seems like there is some sort of ‘gameplay formula’ that they use, doesn’t it? I know a lot of the artists are incredible there though.

          It’s all very formulaic.
          But I do get the impression that it’s all due to upper management making development more like factory work over there.
          Bullet points that must be followed at all cost to be able to put them into a PR release.
          There’s a ton of talent there, as well as a lot of talent that has left over the past couple of years.

          They deserve so much better.
