    The gay aunt is transition goals for me. Too bad I’m going to have to spend a lot of money to have a chance of growing back enough hair to make that hair style viable.

            Sorry, I just prefer to temper expectations about hrt. Not only are there things it cannot do, there are things it might not do. While some people do see the maximum potential in different areas, your mileage will vary. It can Thanos snap away problems, but probably not all of them, and often only partially.

            That said, for anyone with significant testosterone in their system who wants to avoid pattern baldness, start DHT blockers asap. Testosterone itself doesn’t cause baldness, it causes it by converting into DHT. A ton of guys take it, and most don’t have significant issues.

            This means that trans women with higher levels of t can still see hair loss. If you’re on a weaker anti-androgen like spironolactone and not injecting estrogen, you might want to supplement with a DHT blocker.
