I mean I don’t listen to the radio because if it’s not endless commercials it’s some DJ refusing to shut the hell up and just play the music already. For decades I’ve wanted to see a simple “That was (song) by (artist), next is (song) by (artist).”

Now I just use Pandora. A few bucks a month, no ads, and I can block or skip songs. So I don’t really care that a DJ loses his job. I do care, however, that they replaced him with an AI that will also refuse to shut the hell up but now also in an annoying artificial voice.

Now I’m not from Poland, but let’s be honest, they’re just the first of a bazillion others that’ll do the same thing.

I’m so torn by this. On the one hand, it makes great radio hosts even more valuable and on the other hand, you become great by practicing and you get that practice at smaller and failing radio stations.

Also, what I want is for AI to replace middle management and upper management jobs as opposed to consumer facing jobs and I especially want systems in place to support the displaced people.

We cannot embrace AI while we’re ambivalent about UBI.

You’re putting the cart before the horse.

You’re never going to get upper management replaced by AI while upper management controls who gets paid what.

If the shareholders can get money, why wouldn’t they gut the fat. These parasites don’t think of the companies as wagyu, they just want dividends.

Who do you think sits on the Boards of Directors of these companies?

Think of the French Revolution. The English hated the French with a passion, but when the revolutionaries started killing the aristocracy the English lords were suddenly pals with their counterparts.

This is why I want an anti-capitalist revolution. We replace the executives with AI and then by the time they realise how they empowered and galvanized the working class, we rise up to remove the boards of directors, putting the companies and dividends in the hands of the populous to feed into the UBI fund.

I’ve been hearing people talk about ‘revolution’ since I started learning about politics.

There was no revolution in 2000 when the Supreme Court upended the actual vote.

There was no revolution in 2016 when the guy who got fewer votes got in.

If all the people who were talking about revolution had actually hit the streets and organized we could have had Bernie in office by now.

If there is a revolution it’s probably going to be the Right going full fascist.

I’m honestly not expecting any revolution to start in America. They keep saying how they need guns for it, but it will be one of the last to join the revolution and only then go to try and hold on to a semblance of power.
