New week, new topic, new chance to share what you’ve got going on in gaming :) I’d like to apologize for a lack of news posting, I’ve been under the weather recently but should return to form this week.

drop’s recs: Anything. It’s Steam Summer sale babes, get anything you want! Now is a great time to challenge yourself by picking up something you normally wouldn’t play but have some interest in, I can’t think of a better time than when it’s 50 - 80% off can you? Let everyone know what you picked up, tell everyone what you’re avoiding :)

I’m still enjoying Tears of the Kingdom. I’m nearing the end but still having a ton of fun.

I’m also playing Street Fighter 6 which is to me the best fighting game I’ve ever played. Slowwwwly climbing the ladder!

Next on my list is Inscryption. I bought it before summer sale but it was also some % off on steam. I would have picked up Street Fighter 6 if it were on sale. I think I’ll pick up Disco Elysium even if I am split on it because of the publisher.

I finished Control this week. I liked it. Some parts are not so fun for me but there are some things that I love

There are some games that everyone I follow streams to death in early access and Inscryption is one of them, I think it’s very solid and you won’t be disappointed. SF6 is not something that was on my list but I watched a Jerma vod and he was having a lot of fun with it so maybe in the future I’ll look out for it, leaning towards support for the developers of DE but who knows who’s telling the truth in the matter.

I didn’t expect wanting to play SF6 either. I don’t even want to write about DE. I’ll just leave this and this here for anyone interested in the topic.

I finished my first run of Rimworld and really enjoyed my time with it (we are not gonna mention the end ok). Other than that all I have played this week was Pixel Puzzles Traditional Jigsaws.

This is what I got so far from the sale so far, planning to stock up on some more DLCs tho:

Pixel Puzzles Traditional Jigsaws Pack: Dogs

Pixel Puzzles Traditional Jigsaws Pack: Variety Pack 2

Pixel Puzzles Traditional Jigsaws Pack: Variety Pack XL

Pixel Puzzles Traditional Jigsaws Pack: Christmas

    Metro Exodus Season Pass

Pixel Puzzles Traditional Jigsaws Pack: Deutschland

Pixel Puzzles Traditional Jigsaws Pack: Abstract

    Warstone OST, Comics and Artbook

    AuroraBound Deluxe

    I don’t have a problem, I swear.

      😋

Metro is a bit surprising to me and I hope you enjoy it. Warstone reminds me so much of some old flash tower defense games, might pick that one up myself, Aurorabound is super interesting too. Solid choices!

I played Metro on stream before we met (Hanno requested it), good game but full of technical issues, especially on Linux :/ It also badly needs a mod to get rid of spiders. I was straight up unable to finish some sections (I had my bf do it for me) because they freaked me out way too much. I can’t play the Enhanced edition because I still run a GTX card, so had to pick the Season Pass up to get the DLC for it.

I haven’t played Warstone yet so I can’t comment if good or not because when I tried the native version was busted, but yea, it reminds me of them too and I love me some TD even tho I am terrible at it.

I am expecting AuroraBound to be very similar to Aurora Hex - Pattern Puzzles I played last year and enjoyed. My thoughts on it can be found here.

Splitting time between DiabloIV and FFXVI. Only comment about 16 is that it is WAY more “rated M for mature” than I expected. Far more than any previous title.

I don’t know what mood I’d suggest people to be in for the first hour, but “giddy to play the new FF” isn’t it!

It was literally rated M as far back as 2022! As for the series, FFIV has straight up genocide in the opening, Tactics is full of racism, many games involve fratricide/matricide, VII follows a group of terrorists, etc. The themes have always been there, we’ve just overlooked a lot of it.

A friend of mine got me Sea of Thieves and Ark. Never seen gameplay or played them before soooo we’ll see how it goes! I’m also planning on picking up Bread & Fred to play with my SO. Well, after I beat the demo (singleplayer). We were doing co-op and it’s tough! 🤣

Not personally a fan of the devs of SoT and Ark but people love them so I hope you have a great time with it :) Bread & Fred is new to me but I hope it goes well with your SO
