Just don’t bring up how unions were treated in the USSR with OP. A union with members appointed for their political loyalty doesn’t help workers, it just turns into another tool for surveillance and oppression.
I mean, the working class in general didn’t really do that well under communism, in any system. At best, they had just enough.
At worst, they got a famine. Which happened more than once.
