I don’t believe reparations for slavery should be second, so no. We can talk about them both at the same time. There’s no need to put them against eachother like you are so clearly doing.
But we’re not talking about both. That was never under consideration until people like me demanded it.
It’s still not under consideration at any official level.
This idea of reparations for Black people and only Black people - which, make no mistake, is what the “reparations” discussion as a whole is about - is bullshit. For California, at least.
In 1946, Congress created the Indian Claims Commission, a body designed to hear historic grievances and compensate tribes for lost territories. It commissioned extensive historical research and ended up awarding about $1.3 billion to 176 tribes and bands. That was not nearly enough and a lot of those funds were mismanaged by the government (big surprise), but it’s more than the literally nothing that Black people got.
You just don’t want Black people to have reparations, and I’m skeptical you even want Natives to have full reparations. You just want to pit people against each other so no one gets anything and whitey gets away with all his crimes like he always fucking does.
You’re right, every state should be forced to pay what they owe and the federal government didn’t give enough and should pay more.
But you’re objectively wrong that no one talks about reparations for Natives, because it literally happened whereas Black people have still gotten nothing. It’s very obvious that you just want to pit people against each other so no one gets anything.
It’s the same shit as what happened to Affirmative Action. By using a lawsuit to pit Asian students against other minorities they were able to get it struck down, so now no one gets anything.
Natives have still gotten nothing from the state of California, which is what we’re talking about, not the federal government. Although it would be nice if the feds were talking about this as well.

Congress gave natives a pittance. That has nothing to do with California reparations.
