As i said on my earlier post, i’ll be visiting HK soon; I used to live here a long time ago. When i first came, I bought an adaptor (for electronics charging) from some guy near HKU for $1, he had them all in a box near the door, but I can’t remember the place now. I can’t remember how I loaded up my sim card either - I will just be in town for a week but I’ll be working so my main thing is that i’ll need quite a bit of data and maybe make some local phone calls.
Anyone have recommendations where to buy an adaptor and how to load up a sim card? Thank you!
SIM card are really easy here. $33 HKD at 7-11 will get you about 50GB data (I think with even more data at slower speed). Chungking mansions always has tons of adaptors and stuff like that for a good price.
SIM card: 7-11 Adaptor - It depends where you will be staying, any market will have them, sham shui po, wan chai computer market, mong kok phone market (Sin Tat Plaza) all will have.
Thanks very much!
