I really like Genesis samples. I never owned a sega console, but I’ve always found the music so good. It’s so strange to hear this song this way and yet the spirit of song remains intact. Great share, thanks!

And yeah, the sound tech is really dependant on how it’s utilized. There’s also the inverse - Sonic music done on the SPC chip!
The possibilities really are endless.
I never got into the Genesis sound myself, but coincidentally I did think Yuzo Koshiro was one of the only ones to work magic with the sound chip (stuff like Go Straight).
Although that Golden Axe tune posted earlier was pretty good, too.
