As much as it pains me to say, coming from Hamburg, but Berlin is way more German than Bavaria.
Don’t be confused by Berlin being a metropolis and therefore different, it’s the same in Hamburg. Just without the suck but that’s because Berlin is Prussian.
Nah Bavaria is actually kind of quaint, same as the rest of Austria. Not bad to visit, would never stay (and the natives like it that way). Berlin is a teenager trying to look cool.

I think that is more a case of you disliking Bavaria, which is kind of expected from someone from Hamburg.
Imo Berlin and Hamburg are not the same. The Berlin memes are there for a reason. Same for other big cities like Köln, Hannover, Frankfurt, etc.
The way things are done in Berlin is just a bit different.
