Sadly there is not a keybind for this anywhere. It is only available to manually activate through the cockpit.
Cowardly? Dude. You are the drive-by troll. Downvotes for you are just a normal reality. I’m so sorry it hurts your feelings… not. Perhaps find a game you actually play and enjoy to comment on?
Hey sorry it took so long for me to reply. I am still not used to getting replies here! It depends. Some commands, like controlling power are easier to use in tight situations. I have a shields up command that is fun to say. But if I’m in a group I tend to keep the voice commands down to a minimum. I use it more often for take off, landings, and preparation for various conditions or battles.
I have dual VKBs so it isn’t like I’m short on controls :).
The way that they do updates doesn’t make automated updates very easy. There are usually a few little nagging things that have to be done or changed and they don’t always seem to be the same. I just update manually and make sure I’ve got a good backup of all my family’s files.
What a ridiculous thing to say.
Sorry but plant milk is a processed food with no nutritional value. It is not better for us or the planet. This is just a silly article.
Work conditions suck just about everywhere these days. I wouldn’t consider what I have seen from employee interviews to be ringing endorsements nor total loathing. It is probably worse than you think and better than I expect. I still think they are chasing the wrong metrics regardless of whether it is a good place to work. The fact that Linus burned himself out gives you more than a hint of what it is like for others working there.
There is very specifically tax fraud issues in the Bible. Mostly by tax collectors themselves. Lots of other places where it says to follow the laws of government.
The meme does encapsulate the views of a crap ton of fake Christians though.
I am still not very impressed with the response from Linus and company. It is quite clear that they decided to slave themselves to the YouTube algorithm without regard for the humans involved. So many of their videos devolve into an unintentional Abbott and Costello comedy routine because they clearly did not decide to spend the time preparing properly or realizing they missed something and starting again. They just plow through without regard for the quality of people involved.
Sometimes this is entertaining, but more often than not, it is just low quality and a waste of their time.
I want entertaining tech content, but not at the expense of the people involved. Honestly, it is fascinating to see the sausage being made. I would love for them to show the difficult process of making a high quality video and getting the process corrected. Then have the final produced video. Full transparency, warts and all.
Reality TV is overflowing cable and streaming TV. I’m looking at a value proposition here. I don’t see the value of a service like YoutubeTV at $75/month. I don’t watch sports anymore. I looked through the top 100 TV series of 2022-2023 and I found one show that I watched (House of the Dragon). I paid for 1 month of Max and binged it. The story was OK, but the filming and sound in some scenes were horrible.
How many NCIS and FBI shows can there be on one network? Golden age? No. That has long passed. Now it is just cheap copy after cheap copy of the same show in a different city. I am completely bored by almost all of it. It certainly isn’t worth $75 per month.
Yeah those look similar to the energy signatures for ship HUDs.
The price for a star citizen starter package is $45-100 to 4.5x is a huge exaggeration. I have spent less money on Star Citizen than about 4 months of YouTube TV and have gotten way more hours of entertainment out of it than the crap they serve up on cable. I find it quite playable at the moment. Unfinished? Overdue? Absolutely. I guess we all entertain ourselves in different ways. I’ll take Star Citizen with my org mates over “Dangerous Naked Island Housewives Flipping Houses” shows every time.
Yeah I guess I have Amazon Prime as well. I watched a few shows that were OK on Prime. I enjoyed The Legend of Vox Machina a ton. The Boys, The Expanse, and Reacher were also good. So what is that like two series per year? It is still pretty low for an entertainment value. Lucky for them it has other uses. The Wheel of Time and The Rings of Power were ambitious, but disappointing.
I’ve been a backer for 10 years and have spend $275 dollars. I’d call that good entertainment value for my dollar. No one needs to spend more than $45 dollars to enjoy almost every aspect of the game. In fact you can spend zero dollars and just play during the free fly events which happen at least 4 weeks per year.
I don’t know what you think Star Citizen costs, but I’d say a onetime payment of between $45-110 dollars for a starter package for thousands of hours of game play is pretty good.
I dislike Apple so I probably won’t ever watch Severance there.
I watched the Expanse.
I watched DS9 and Seinfeld when they originally aired.
Totally agree with the whole service per 1 good show thing. It is exhausting to figure out what service to get to watch a specific show. I play Star Citizen for entertainment mostly now and I probably watch Youtube 10x more than any other streaming site. I like certain podcasts, news, camping/bushcraft, tech reviews, movie reviews, and Dungeons & Dragons play streams.
I’m not sure I agree that Netflix showed that it was a viable business model. HBO was the real success with a subscription model. Its just that they weren’t streaming and just on cable. I wish Netflix were HBO from 10 years ago. Heck. I wish HBO was HBO from 10 years ago now. The purchase by Discovery has screwed them up even worse than they were before. Netflix is heavily in debt and has no useful content to show for it. They only care about new subscribers and don’t care about the existing ones. They seem to cancel every show that might have potential after a 8-10 episode season. It was already really difficult to even find a good show on Netflix, and then when you do, it is all but certain they will cancel it if it was good.
There is a reckoning coming. People don’t have the extra income to pay for useless crap.
Yeah not to mention that is is so easy to cancel and resubscribe to binge watch a show only when you need the service. I will probably get Max when House of the Dragon comes back out, but just for the last month that it is available.
That article is full of it. I was paying $120-150/month for cable on top of Internet. YoutubeTV is still only $75. I don’t even bother with YoutubeTV anymore. That was way too much money per month and despite 100+ channels, there was almost nothing worth while to watch. I’m not paying $75/month for Saturday Night Live a few times per year and MSNBC on in the background while I work.
I have Netflix and Disney+. When the kids are gone I will also get rid of those. Netflix is a joke now. It takes me so much time scrolling to find a show that I even want to watch, that I usually fall asleep before that can happen. Disney+ filled their service with horrid crap from Star Wars, Marvel, and other formerly beloved intellectual property that they have sullied and ruined.
Bottom line. The Streaming services are just as bad or worse than cable was and is. The quality of the shows is mostly so low that there is nothing worth paying $75, $20, $15, or even $5 per month for. I will happily pay zero because that is what streaming and cable shows are worth, for the most part, right now.
If anyone would please just make some quality shows I would happily pay a reasonable price for it. There has been maybe one show this entire year that thought was good and that was Star Trek Strange New Worlds. Guess what? It isn’t worth paying Paramount+ for a whole year just for one show. Sorry, but they all need to get their act together. Peak TV is long gone. It is Peak Crap TV now.

Here is a great example on this very poll. https://lemmy.world/comment/1956223
Polling is basically horrible. It is basically marketing. Its either marketing for a candidate or for news media. It is a tool used to control what you read and believe, rather than to inform.
What a callous human being. I’m sickened by her actions.
