Dragon Age Origins is a fantastic game until a demon randomly tosses you into the Fade in the middle of a quest and the entire game just stops while you try to escape this stupid dreamworld. The mechanics are all different, the scenario is a bunch of bullshit Dream logic, it adds absolutely nothing to the story, and it’s 100% required to proceed in the main quest.

Like there are a ton of things I like about that game but what the hell was that, BioWare?

This is the winner. Omg, I’ve suffered through some really dumb twists in video game plots but this wins the ultimate crock of shit award.

I don’t know how the game ends because I never played any further than that stupid twist.

I don’t think there’s anything inherently wrong with supernatural creatures, they just did a really poor job of foreshadowing it; like there’s no supernatural stuff until the last sections of the game and suddenly it’s like “oh, I guess there are monsters now? Okay?”

If other spooky or paranormal stuff had been seen or at least alluded to before that point, it wouldn’t have felt as weird.
