Been using Perplexity AI quite a bit lately for random queries, like travel suggestions.

So I started wondering what random things people are using it for to help with daily tasks. Do you use it more than Google/etc?

Also if anyone is paying for Pro versions? Thinking if it’s worth it paying for Perplexity AI Pro or not.

Mostly, I use it for boring uni work that needs a lot of fluff in it - LLMs generate it just fine.

I also use Codeium in my code editor for occasional code suggestions. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn’t, but it is still a net win for my coding speed.

Gamma for generating presentations. You would have to do most of the work yourself anyway, if you want a really good presentation, but Gamma gives you a solid core to start working with. Sometimes, not knowing where to start is the biggest problem.

EditGPT for, well, editing. I have a personal journal and sometimes want to show the contents to friends and EditGPT saves me A LOT of time of going through the text again and again to find mistakes.

Every AI I mentioned is free. They don’t really help me that much to be worth of getting a premium subscription. EditGPT is the best tool for its job out of all I mentioned, but I don’t write every day or even every week.
