    I wish DEET didn’t melt my clothes.

      Never apply DEET to your clothes, that is what permethrin is for and it works great! Put it on all your outdoor clothes/gear!

      DEET works great but is only for skin, let it dry first too.

        I had DEET on my skin and sat in a UBER and my leg was sitting against the door of the car. After I left, I took paint and plastic with me on my leg after a 15 min ride.

            No, I actually didn’t notice until after I already left. I was wondering why my leg has melted plastic on it. Lol

          Yep, DEET will melt synthetic stuff: Let it dry on your skin before you do anything and for clothes/gear use permethrin

            It was dry, but I started sweating and it became liquid again.

      DEET scarred my water bottle, but it’s no biggie because I’ve scarred it worse by dropping it.
