With a minor in Women’s Studies thanks to a translation error that was later canonized for no other reason than memes. (Sega of America had a bad habit of translating “Womanizer” as “Feminist” leading to very confusing character bios for Robotnik and Knuckles, and by the time the mistake was corrected, the idea of these two having completely random interests in the rights and struggles of the fairer sex was such a big running joke that they just went ahead and said “Sure”
For the record it was a hard mistranslated to figure out since the series failed the Bechdel Test for so long that there really weren’t many female characters for this trait to come up that much. (I think Sonic Battle is really the only time we see Rouge and Amy ever interacting with each other)
The only time Robotnik’s “Womanizer” trait ever came out was in Archie Sonic, and even then, only as a joke in a spoof of the 90’s tendency to shoehorn in “Girl Power!” messages in franchises that didn’t really have or target a female fanbase to begin with…
(In the 90’s a woman playing video games was considered as odd as putting a condom machine in the vatican, which is… sadly an explanation for a lot of reasons why the industry did the things it did. Course I knew a girl gamer, just didn’t know she was a girl at the time… that girl gamer is me, I’m trans… and have drifted wildly off-topic)
Now I’m remembering a non-satirical more legitimate girl power moment in an Archie Sonic Crossover (between Sonic and Archie)
Where Sabrina the Teenage Witch was called a fake fan for liking comic books while being a girl, and her rebuttal was that she likes Knuckles the Echidna comics (Yes he had his own book too), but only because “Knuckles is so dreamy! <3”
Which I only remember because it’s one giant “God damn it Penders” moment
Wait, Robotnik has a medical degree?!
The scale goes from “No professional training” to “Doctorate in Medicine.”
So to be on the far right you need to be an MD, but having a different doctorate will still be above “no professional training”
It’s a weird scale.
Also, it’s wrong. Dr Horrible has a PhD in Horribleness, and Doctor Zoidberg has a doctorate in Art History.
Dr. Evil should be much further to the right.
He did not spend 8 years at Evil Medical School to get called Mr.
