I’ll go first: playing with other people in multiplayer who are geographically close to you would be very fun.

Releasing a finished product when it’s ready, as opposed to charging full price for consumers to live beta test features.

Release full completed games. None of this “massive day one patch” or “just wait for the patch” moments just after release. If you can’t walk into a store and buy a physical copy and pop it into your console/pc and play without internet (if you’re game isn’t playable out of box), then you’re doing it wrong.

I’d love for FFXVI’s active tike lore system to become standard, especially for big, complicated games with a lot of characters and locations involved. Pressing a single button and getting an overview of who is involved in the current cutscene and chapter was so helpful to me. It would be quite valuable in certain series as well

Yeah I thought that was prettt helpful. Similar games have the lore in another menu but it’s unavailable during the cutscene. Tactics Ogre Reborn for example is heavy on the lore side with a lore menu. Wish it was available all the time though. FFXVI could have benefitted from a text lot though. So much dialogue

I know that isn’t a game but Kindles do this with books you’re reading. If you highlight the name, it’ll give you a brief description of the character and who they are. It’s called X-Ray I think. It’s super nice.

that was one of my favourite features of that game. it was so nice being able to pause a cutscene and be able to look at who is who instead of having to Google them to remember what happened since the last time I played and risk spoilers.

what I also loved about it was how the relationship tree could be toggled for each chapter to see how certain character’s allegiances and friendships changed as the story progressed.

For me? No cut scenes, everything should play in game and I should be able to choose to watch or not.

I’m tired of buying unfinished, unpolished games. If I’m paying $60-$80 for a game, I expect it to be a finished product.

I miss games that didn’t update. If someone put out a buggy unfinished n64 game it would fail and the dev wouldn’t do that shit again. Imagine if we were on non updatable cartridge games in the internet age. Shit would have to be on point to be a success.

Shit, I bought Coral Island and dumped a bunch of hours in it only to find out the main quest won’t be finished until next year. Fucking piece of shit devs.

I was looking forward to that game but man, why do they have to drip feed the players?? It’s so stupid, I’m not a beta tester, I want to enjoy the game.

It’s really enjoyable too. I swear they must have gone to version 1.0 just to get more money from idiots like me who thought 1.0 meant it was finished, if not bug free.

I’ve seen games for sale on steam saying they’re in “pre-alpha” stage. That’s not a game! Pre alpha is a concept with a box of assets.

Pausing all music if you alt-tab to the desktop. If I need to jump out of a game to do emails or something, I want to stop hearing the game music. Some games do it, some games don’t. Should be a standard to do it.

    • Quit to desktop. I don’t want to have to click ‘quit to menu’, watch a loading screen, then watch a menu launch animation, then click ‘quit to desktop’, then click yes I’m sure, then watch a game quit animation just to get back to Windows.

    • Any and all disability enhancements. The stuff naughty dog put in TLOU for example need to be replicated in to every game. Allow as many people as possible to play.

    • Official mod support.

    • A decent in-game photo mode. I’ll credit Ubisoft for having really good photo tools in their recent AC games, for example.

    • The ability to add my own music to any in game music playlist/radio station
