The December window of the transfer portal opened today! Hope all the coaches are having fun recruiting their own players!
It’s a fire hose of tweets out there, with over 400 players entering the portal just this morning. To cut down on potential posts of screenshots of the notes app on the phones of 18-22 year-olds, let’s keep the discussion in this thread.

Buchner is the top target easily.
Glad to see that we only have a single player in the portal at the moment. Bummed to see that it’s a db (hopefully this opens up a spot for an elite db, which we need). But some over on volnation were certain that we would lose our entire rb room. Heupel also needs to go shopping for olineman, we saw this year what an iffy line can do.
I just need Cam Ward to make a decision. The wait is killing me.
I’m full of west coast bias, but it seems like Cam Ward should be one of the most sought-after portalites. I would love for him to come to Washington to bridge between Penix and Austin Mack.

Too bad y’all missed out on McCord, but the Raiola flip should be huge. I don’t think blue bloods can ever really be down for too long, so maybe this really is where the program turns a corner.
I know there may be bad blood between Texas and Nebraska but that was before my time. I mostly just feel bad Casey Thompson didn’t move the needle for you guys.
And I’m certainly glad Rhule is not coaching in my conference. His Baylor teams were formidable

And yep, Nebraska fan. I’m aware of two entering in December so far: John Goodwin, walk-on TE, and Jake Appleget, redshirt freshman who bounced around offense, defense, and special teams.
Myles Farmer entered the portal earlier in the fall and I think might already be with another team. Defensive Back, left after being suspended for “not meeting standards” according to Rhule. I do like how Rhule doesn’t spill a lot of tea when players go through personal challenges.
Dillon Gabriel is a nice get for Oregon
Juice Wells is supposedly gonna visit with us this weekend. Hopefully we’re seeing the return of WR U.
I’ve also seen rumors that we’re offering Justin Joly after he tore us up during the UCONN game.

Do you think you guys are going to land Dillon Gabriel? Seems likely to me (I don’t think he’s going to UCLA, UW, UO, or tOSU).
I honestly think from what we saw from Nico this season that he can easily live up to the heup. So I don’t know that we’ll aggressively pursue another qb, or that other qbs that aren’t younger than Nico will look to us as their first option. With that said, Heupel seems to be a qb coach and I wouldn’t be surprised if we did land some more notable qb prospects. It would likely be a good idea to try as well as the injury bug had it out for us this season.
