I found mine in a giveaway box on the side of the road and all that was wrong was it was missing a button, I like a bit of a tight fit, I didn’t remove any material, I just cut a slit under each armpit down to the bottom and then sewed them back together a bit tighter, cinched it at the waist and let it out below after. I just left a thicker bit under the arms, so if anything it’s warmer. This kind of cost is still generally more cone or bell than cylinder shaped when worn, it’s a really odd fit.
I thought the point of these big overcoats was to cover you up? Did you have to remove a lot of material from yours?
