Anyway, I’m not sure how you expect them to repay any debts when their economy is at rock bottom. The US expecting repayment for nationalized property is very much expecting to squeeze blood from a stone, and a stone of the US’s own making.

What hurt their economy was the collapse of the soviet union. That is what propped up their economy for so long, the Soviets.
What keeps the embargo in place is Cuba stole property from American citizens. If they repay those debts, then normal tourism could happen again.
Obama made the change to allow it anyways and Trump changed it back to the prior policy.

Who is YOU? I never stated my opinion on whether they should or shouldn’t pay back the debt.
The embargo isn’t as damaging as people think. They can buy food and medicine from the United States.
