      Fun fact: the opposite of estrogenize is in fact to androgenize. No relation to androgynize with a Y, they’re just one letter apart and for many speakers 100% homophonic, but they’re very different in meaning, if we’re talking about men’s sex hormone intake.

        Male rites of passage

        1. Maku: This is the first rite of passage for the boys. They are separated from their mothers at this stage and participate in bloodletting (where long sticks are inserted up their nostrils to make them bleed), therefore ridding themselves of their mothers’ presence in them.       It’s easier to explain the other way around IMHO:

      • People with low empathy don’t care about the feelings of others.

      This in turn makes them not see their partners as nothing else than a vehicle for their own pleasure, both explaining objectification and not caring to pleasure their partners.

      It also means they’re attracted to social and political theories that put the good of others - including the common good - below one’s own self satisfaction (not just in money terms but also things like feeling superior to whole groups of people) as they validate the ways in which they themselves naturally tend to behave, hence they are rightwingers (not just the Fascist far-right but also Neoliberals).

      In other words, those two things are not linked as Cause and Consequence but rather are both Positivelly Correlated with a Low Empathy personality

    You need to understand that this is not about sexuality, but about patriarchy. For them sex is about power over women, not about pleasing them. Cunnilingus focuses on female pleasure, which is a problem for this world view. Men unwilling to take part in the oppression of women are seen as “unmanly”. This is expressed through the accusation of being “gay”.

      Yeah they see a man submitting to a woman as gay. I’ve long suspected it’s part of why so many submissive men are into forced bi. Though I think that’s also because a ton more men are actually at least a little bi than admit it.
