This is a terrible, repetitive article. It reads like a high school kid shooting for word count. On top of that, it’s kinda vaguely fascist in overtones, flirtly slightly with “government reinforcing traditional gender roles”. If that isn’t the author’s intent, hoo boy they need a good-ass editor.
Amen on those points, but it does serve a purpose. We need more articles to show we need to increase social spending, if not for preferably moral reasons, but to increase fertility rates in which the rich are concerned with
