It’s 100% cool to not care about “rap beef”.

The reason this stuff is in the news is because Kendrick is a very influential artist calling out patterns of child abuse and sexual assault in the industry.

Yes, it all came to light through “diss tracks”, but a lot of the accused behavior has been publicly visible for years and simply ignored.

It’s getting media attention because the world has seen people abuse their fame so many times and we still let it happen. Now a modern artist is emphasizing that the most famous “rapper” is an offender and that the industry has these problems everywhere.

But I want to be upset that the meaningless distractions of other people aren’t the meaningless distractions I indulge in!

It started as beef but I don’t even see how it’s that meaningless at this point tbh. It’s kind of an ignorant “eugh, I don’t like these rappers!!” thing to say.

Kendrick’s often covered meaningful topics in his music, including how his mother was molested and generational trauma in the black community.

So it makes sense that he’s sickened by Drake’s actions, and it’s actually good that someone with a platform is calling him out on it and drawing attention to the topic.

Yeah rap’s never been my genre of choice but it’s as deeply political as punk and folk. I have nothing but respect for the demands for change often included in it.

This is closer to the accusations against R. Kelley than the Ye Swift beef

Idk, I think publicly exposing a wealthy sexual predator is a good thing, and I wish people did it more often. Especially considering that his gig affords him plenty of opportunities to invite girls backstage.

It’s worse than that, someone sat there and made this , looked at it and thought, " yep, this is awesome".

It’s comedy genius to put this much effort into telling everyone you don’t care about something!

Or you can also not care because it’s objectively the least interesting bullshit ever.

I think it’s pretty interesting that after years of knowing Drake was a groomer, someone in the industry is bringing it to the spotlight. This is not an average rap beef - it actually has very little to do with rap.

It’s crazy that you’re getting upvotes for calling your subjective opinion an objective fact, though.
