This was also why the Republicans were so insistent on crucifying Hunter, because he was a prominent link between Biden and Ukraine - an operation that the Republicans are left out of.
While I appreciate that there are factions within the US imperial elite, I think you greatly underestimate the extent to which republican interests and donors benefit from project ukraine. The defence and lng majors have benefitted the most from the most maximal aspects of the project (provoking hot war, sabotaging any peace process and blowing up Nordstream). Are you really trying to say that there is no connection between the defence industry and the republican donor base? If so, where is the peace wing of the republican party? There isn’t one. They just do stupid rhetoric where they would have done project ukraine so that they would have won. I’m sure that around the margins there would be different firms and individuals that are the biggest beneficiaries, but it’s naive and reductive to say that the GOP donor class is “left out”.

Rare good thing from the US. Gotta be honest I do not understand the ironic adoration of Hunter Biden by the online US left at all. He’s a terrible person that deserves to go to jail. From dodgy prostitution scandals, taking advantage of women, to corruption in Ukraine (which is very suspicious in hindsight given the Ukraine war and all the money that is exchanging hands currently).
Sure is nice to be pro gun and not a fascists so I can say without hypocrisy this is bullshit but also fuck hunter.
The vast majority of gun owners I know told the exact same lie on the exact same form. The difference is the vast majority of those people are currently cheering about justice being served.
It really is hilarious to see the party of personal liberties that is against literally any form of reasonable gun co trol cheer for somebody being forced to self incriminate to get their 2nd ammendment rights taken away, while being part of a death cult for the guy who said “take away the guns first, worry about due process later”.
It can not be over emphasized how much these people believe in literally nothing and could not be bigger hypocrites if they were trying.
