The people that tried to stage a coup in Venezuela are trying to tell us that he lost and must step down?

Shame you’re being downvoted, but you’re right. While Maduro’s regime is certainly autocratic and corrupt, the US has been interfering in Venezuela for decades in order to gain access to its oil reserves (the largest in the world).

This article in The Intercept is a good overview of the history, which includes two failed coup attempts.

Any claims that this latest ploy is being carried out for the sake of “democracy” should be viewed with the utmost skepticism.

The global oligarchy wants power and ownership of everything… They just use the US to do their dirty work… They used to pay us pretty well to turn a blind eye, but they stopped doing that

Technically, it was the Trump administration, not the Biden, and that attempt was weird even to the Republicans weird standards. One would think if they really wanted him gone, the CIA would be involved, not just some weird ass mercenary group no one has heard of (Silvercorp)

I have to ask: Do you honestly think Maduro won the election, though?

Technically, it was the Trump administration

With bipartisan support in Congress. Passed a nearly unanimous in both chambers bill recognizing Guaido as “the real president”.

Pelosi even held a press conference “thanking him for his courage” 🙄

Passing a bill recognizing something isn’t even remotely planning and executing a coup. These idiots wanted to become the next Blackwater or whatever Prince is calling those fuckers nowadays. The CIA even told them that if they went through with it, they were on their own.

With all the massive fuckups the Trump administration committed, at least the CIA had the sense to not touch this with a 30ft pole.

You seem completely oblivious to the more than a dozen coup attempts by the United States against Venezuela which only includes this century.

Let’s take a moment to reconsider.

Can you provide the 12 examples? Factual information please.

It seems like the decision you made might not have been the most effective just posting this text without even linking a wikipedia entry.

Your question is irrelevant, it’s not the US’s concern. They are in no position to question the integrity of another countries elections when ours is questionable at best.
