We have problems with: affordable housing, healthcare costs, college costs, a rampant threat of literal white extremist terrorism, a disappearing middle-class, and millions of children who go hungry every day.

This is the bullshit the conspiracy theory loving Republicans do instead of actually, you know, governing.

They have zero ideas, zero morals, and zero concept of hypocrisy. What a waste of time these 2 years in the republican run House has been.

This is mostly about normalizing “impeachment” so that Trump’s two impeachments don’t look as bad. This is a classic Republican tactic: when your guy gets caught doing “thing” start slinging “thing” around at your enemies until it loses all meaning.

Similar tactic to co-opting “fake news”, “woke”, “feminism”, and “critical race theory”. All were terms that threatened to undermine the conservative ideology, and so were quickly hurled around as insults until their original meaning was completely distorted.

Not just republicans, conservatives world wide have no relevant policies and have to resort to populist fear mongering to stay relevant. Look at England, Canada, Germany, Italy and RuZZia, they have nothing to offer but discrimination and ostracism.

Aren’t the democrats spendings all their time trying to prosecute a political opponent instead of taking care of that stuff? You know the democrats are in power, right? What are they doing for the affordable housing issue, healthcare costs, etc?

How are the Democrats spending their time prosecuting a political opponent? You mean the Special Counsel that is his only job? You mean the courts that are doing their only job?

Political opponent? You mean someone who broke laws and now needs to be proven guilty?

How are the Democrats in power? The Republicans hold the majority in the House of Representatives. The US Senate is effectively split down the middle.

Agreed the Democrats should be doing more to help the USA but let’s not try to play both sides are the same angle.

Yes, political opponent. Trump is running for presidency. Political opponent. You’re saying he broke the law but that’s what the trials will be for, if they make it there. He is innocent until proven guilty, aka no laws have been proven to have been broken.

How are the Democrats in power?

You can’t be serious with this can you? Who’s the president at the moment? Which party won the election?

How about we don’t try and blame the republicans for the democrats failings? The democrats are doing nothing to solve any of the problems, while patting themselves on the back for “lowering inflation” and “bringing down petrol prices” while they’re still higher than when they took power and they’re not even responsible for bringing them down……while you all eat it right up.

You’re all just so caught up in “orange man bad” that you’re giving them a pass purely because they’re trying to prosecute their political opponent that you hate, while then saying the republicans are fascists etc for them raising impeachment proceedings for clearly impeachable actions by Biden.

Never once said “orange man bad”. Never even said his name.

Someone who has been investigated for breaking laws isn’t going after a political opponent, it’s following the law. I don’t care what party they affiliate with.

President != Party is in power. Just because the President can sign executive orders doesn’t make them laws. Laws are passed by Congress and can either be signed or vetoed by the President. Which even then Congress can vote a law in to completely by-pass the President.

I think you’re the one eating up all the hate rhetoric because I even said the Democrats need to do more. But all you can see is me saying that it’s the Republicans in control of the House and the Senate is split so they need to take responsibility there too.

They’re only going after trump because he’s running for presidency. They’re literally on record saying they have to do everything they can to prevent him from taking office again. Political prosecution, even if he is found not guilty or all charges are dropped, is a way of doing that.

The president is the head of the elected party. You cannot possibly be making this argument that the democrats aren’t in power 😂

We’re in agreeance that both parties are shit at actually helping the regular people. They’re both only out for themselves, the career politicians. What I’m saying is that the democrat diehards in here still blame the republicans for everything that’s wrong and give the democrats a pass when the democrats are literally in power right now. Now sure, they can’t just push whatever they want through……but they’re not even trying. What have they put in front of congress and the house and every other level to fox the affordable housing crisis? Inflation? Any of the other number of huge issues affecting everyone outside of the millionaire politicians?

As admitted by you, you’re not an American, so I wouldn’t expect you to understand how American politics work. We don’t have kings or queens here. It’s why we have the House and Senate. They pass the laws. The President can only sign executive orders which the House and Senate can over rule. I mean, just look at what’s happening with Student Loan forgiveness right now.

                Source for the statements?

He allegedly broke laws. He doesn’t get a free pass just cause he was once president. No one should be above the law. No one.

I don’t need to be an American to know how American politics work. You’re not unique, nor is your government setup. The democrats are in power. Fact. They literally call it the “Biden Administration”. “Bidenomics” ring a bell? Just because they don’t control all levels doesn’t mean they’re not in power.

Of course trump doesn’t get a free pass, never suggested he did. You’re naive if you believe that these charges weren’t brought about purely to harm his presidential run though. Most of them will get thrown out or dropped because they’re absurd. Their goal was throw everything at the wall and hope that it damages his election run, and if something manages to stick then that’s a bonus. It’s all about keeping him out of the White House.

I think the majority of them don’t want this to get to a vote. They’re in a shitty situation where they have to convince moderate and independent voters that they’re not extremists or super far right – but they also need to satisfy their extremist base or they’re getting primaried out as a RINO in the swamp. Republican leadership keeps trying to carefully thread that needle, and the extremist wing constantly gets in their way of doing so.
