      “If the Fake News reporting is correct, [Milley] was actually dealing with China to give them a heads up on the thinking of the President of the United States,” Trump wrote in the post on his Truth Social site.

      What does that actually mean, “If the Fake News reporting is correct”? Does he just reflexively call news “fake news” even when he thinks it’s true?

    Given the long and storied history of American war crimes abroad, my first impulse is to label this “based” and “incredibly cool”.

    On further analysis, it appears Trump is not suggesting Milley be court-martialed for the decades of atrocities committed under his command in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo … jesus fuck this guy was in charge of Fort Bragg? Summary execution on the spot.

    But no. Apparently the hook he’s supposed to be hung on is checks notes taking a call from a Chinese senior military leader. Fuck it, sure.
