It’s available in read-only mode since 21st: https://blog.archive.org/2024/10/21/internet-archive-services-update-2024-10-21/
Archived roms are not available, so there might be some truth in suspicions about publishers being involved…
I think publishers were involved but those services are the lowest priority so I wouldn’t look into it that much.
I’m shocked, but not surprised… if that makes sense. Just checked a few of the common sources and they have no more Roms to download. Besides one source so far. I’m so glad to gone through all the trouble and archived the last couple of years on my local drives. Now its the time to do your local backups on USB hard drives, as you don’t know what will happen next.
Oh shit I don’t have neogeo
It’ll be okay. I remember panicking years ago when they attacked other ROM sites. The games will go back up. Maybe in another location, but they always go back up. They cut off one head and another two grow back
Damm they got hit hard. Line no n64

Ok, sorry, stupid here: what are archived roms?
There was some Nintendo, Sega, etc. “backups” available.
Last time I checked, those had been made inaccessible before the recent hacking attacks.
They were accessible for logged in users at least a week before the hack.
Confirming they were available the day before!
They’re still available on the big ass hard drive I downloaded them all to.
Interesting. I wasn’t logged in, so I didn’t know.
Seems up to me!
Seemed like it was a minute or so ago . . .
