It’s a shame no one ever gave Elon Musk the “You’re good enough I guess, please stop calling your ex-wife, move on.” talk to end his midlife crisis…

this is how you choose to spend the limited time you have

My guess is that these guys saw someone like Bernie coming down the line at some point, a populist left wing politician who would have basically ended the billionaires free-for-all in america, and they said ‘well we gotta take over the entire government to stop this’, and people fell for it.

Wow, I can say with confidence that this is the first time I’ve ever wished for a plane to crash. Just one patriotic pilot is all it would take.

I really don’t like that these shitstains make me feel such vitriol…

Elon’s far from mindless. He’s just a self-serving prick who would burn a country down to increase his stan- oh wait.

      Yeah. Fuck.

He’s potentially the most dangerous person at that table. He doesn’t want power in the limelight - though he uses the limelight when he needs to, yes - he wants power behind the scenes. And he’s very good at getting what he wants. That much should be unambiguously clear.

And if gaining that power means helping a fascist fucking prick fuck gain dictatorial powers, well I don’t think he’d think twice.

Agreed that he’s not mindless, but he’s a far cry from “genius”. He’s just a lucky dipshit narcissist.

IDK, I think Trump is still the most dangerous. He’s the most unhinged, and the Supreme Court recently ruled that he can’t be punished for any of the actions he takes as president. That combination makes him scarier than the others IMO.

In fairness to him, he looks genuinely uncomfortable just holding it for this paid publicity shot. Not enough raw bear meat in it for him.

Boycott McDonalds, sponsors of Fascism 2025.

I have said it before, and I’ll say it again: you can fault McD for a lot of things. You can argue that the products aren’t to your taste, or subpar in regards to nutrition. But food safety is something that the clown takes extremely serious.

I’ve gotten sick from burger king. Once I had to decide what I’d rather whipe off the floor, because it was coming out both ways after eating Carl’s Jr. But I’ve never been poisoned by McDonald’s, nor have I talked to someone who has either.

Last time I went on this rant, a former McDonald’s employee commented about food safety practices. They told how if you went to the bathroom and came back multiple people would ask you if you remembered to wash your hands. Not like this specific commenter, but that was just what they did to everyone. If you came in sick, you would be sent home with pay (I believe this was in the US, so it was actually extraordinary).

It’s been so odd seeing Trump cabinet picks come in because it feels like he is just picking conservative celebrities, rather then actual politicians. Like it’s still kinda crazy that fucking Elon Musk is gonna be in government.

It’s looking more and more like this term will be “Celebrity Apprentice: Washington”.

Which, as sad as that is, is still preferable to the alternative where he has a small inner circle of actually smart far right strategists, who he trusts completely and follows their recommendations to the last detail.

I don’t know that it holds true across the board, but for Trump at least, it appears that in the right wing you get smarts or charisma/a following…but not both.

Trump is a flashy moron who appeals to the GOP base, which is comprised largely of morons. They need a moron at the top of the ticket to speak the language of their base, but in the process they’re stuck with a moron at the top when they win.

They’ll still do damage, no doubt, but I feel like the biggest check on Trump’s power is that he’s too stupid to wield it to maximum effect.
