I’m just going to counter your pedantry with three of the literal definitions for cheering

      cheer
      2 of 2
      verb
      cheered; cheering; cheers

      2
: to grow or be cheerful : rejoice
      —usually used with up
Cheer up! Things could be worse.

      transitive verb
      1
      a
: to make glad or happy
      —usually used with up
clowns who cheer up children in hospitals

He laughed at their deaths. That effectively falls under three of the definitions well enough

Ok, good bye troll. Was amusing to see you go so far with this, at the very least, rare to see quality in that craft these days
