90% of her twitter is complaining about tankies and the uyghurs and the authoritarianism

someone in the comments says “im cuban and castro was not a real communist”

retweeted something about how can china eradicate poverty when people in hong kong live in tiny homes

I dunno, if the person with the most similar political development on Youtube was freaking Shoe0nhead, that would probably make me want to rethink my beliefs.

Like, there’s non-tankie leftists online like hbomb, philosophytube, big joel, the chapos, contrapoints, hasanabi, but they talk about actual fucking left-wing ideals, the injustices in the present day and what could be done to fix them. They don’t turn their entire online presence into “im one of the good lefties, not like these evil tankies, im one of the good and reasonable ones”

      specter

Two things result from this fact:

      I. Communism is already acknowledged by all European powers to be itself a power.

II. It is high time that Communists should openly, in the face of the whole world, publish their views, their aims, their tendencies, and meet this nursery tale of the Spectre of Communism with a manifesto of the party itself.

At worst that’s just straight bigotry, at best (if she’s autistic herself) it’s yet another instance of her trying to be “one of the good ones”.

That’s why I compare her to shoe0nhead. “Pick-me” leftists. Defining their political ideology by who is nicest to them on twitter. How long until she does a stream with Destiny where they congratulate each other on their reasonable, well-mannered discussion despite their “differing opinions?”

Is shoe even remotely left? I remember like…over a decade ago I think…watching a video of hers where her essay was on why feminism is bad for women actually and how feminism is making her life worse. I figured she was a permanent write off at that point. It sounds like she’s still obnoxious but that’s still quite the distance to travel if anyone is considering her left at all.

She initially did anti-sjw content, then for a while she did anti-anti-sjw content (she was a radlib and a big bernie bro), and now she’s circled around to anti-anti-anti-sjw content. She did a “How the left failed men” video that made the rounds and YT won’t stop recommending it to me.

She was getting flak for her use of the R-slur and then suddenly she announces that she’s autistic so she can pretend to have an R-word pass.

My questions to her are as follows:

        1. If you don’t have an intellectual disability, by what right do you claim your use of the R-word is legitimate?

        2. If you are implying that you’re reclaiming the R-slur then how are you using it in reverse discourse rather than perpetuating its use as a slur?

        3. If you feel you have a right to use this word because it’s been used against you then would you agree that, as a white person who has occasionally had the N-slur used against me, I also have a right to use the N-slur to denigrate others in the same way that you use the R-slur?

        4. I’m not questioning your self-diagnosis but if you, as a public figure, are openly announcing that you are autistic and positioning your use of slurs as activism, what other autistic activism have you engaged in and which of the prominent leaders in the autistic activism space do you defer to and take up the charge from as a newly-minted autistic activist yourself?

Even as a medically diagnosed autistic guy, I wouldn’t even consider using the R-word.

There isn’t a ‘pass’ for using it, as, unlike the N-word amongst African-Americans, it doesn’t come with any connotation of ‘friend’, or ‘shared heratige’ among neurodivergents. It is purely used derogatorily.

The N-word was reclaimed by black people to be used with those connotations by taking the original word and its meanings and subverting them into something either positive or neutral. The exact same thing happened with the word queer.

It’s a very conscious act to reclaim terms like that.

I’m not saying that the R-slur is beyond reclamation, far from it, but it’s not going to be reclaimed by people who aren’t the object of the term and it’s not going to be reclaimed by using the word in exactly the same way that it has historically been used.

Honestly Keffals’ proclaiming her autistic status is just a veneer of progressivism to make her audience feel comfortable with her use of slurs.

When people use that as a rhetorical shield to cower behind, my go-to is asking them how.

They’ll invariably trip over themselves in trying to justify their actions because they don’t understand what the reclamation of words looks like.

westerners both want china to solve poverty in hong kong and fix all the problems there but also leave hong kong alone and end their “tyranny” or whatever. classic liberal double-standard.

She was in some communist organization that said in Cuba, no one is allowed to smoke or that no one chooses to smoke - which is already an absurd claim considering it’s reputation with cigars and Castro and Che’s image - and one day when she was in a Cuban hospital (after she and some friends got piss drunk), she saw a nurse smoking on her break, and that broke her fragile brain.

If you’re not able to see the absurdity here, imagine this scenario: you’re a Chinese communist. You hear from everyone about how every American is fat. One day you travel to America and the first thing you see is some fit guy jogging down the street. You declare an eternal war against communism and China afterwards

I remember getting into an argument with some people on here over here a year ago when she started her anti-tankie bullshit. Got told that I was doing purity testing but these types always expose themselves over time. Any goodwill she had from covering trans issues in the past is overrun with this and rubbing shoulders with people who barely tolerate her existence.

Anti-Tankie stuff is only trendy to a segment of the internet population that lives their life on it and consumes enough political content to give a shit. Her views barely break into the 100k range if she’s lucky. Imagine failing at being an edge lord online.

They do this because it is a very lucrative grift. Right wingers love being told they are great and will throw huge amounts of money to anyone who coddles them. The “I used to be a leftist but the left wing was too crazy” grift is a popular one.

I used to be part of this cult called Hexbear. They bullied me for my Western chauvinistic beliefs, and kept sending me pig testicles with poop on it. Now I realise that unchecked Western military aggression is the correct way.

I’m getting ready to quit my job.
