FBI labels heroes as villains, big surprise.

I dunno how anyone could stomach working for US intelligence agencies. It must be depressing being such a piece of shit, knowing you’re dragging humanity into the abyss.

I’ve had the chance to talk with people that have worked at/done internships with MIC contractors and DOD labs etc. Here’s one of the responses I’ve gotten (asking what they think about the civilian casualties their weapons have caused, because they kept insisting that these were moral grey areas)

No, I dont think is bad. There is really good people in the uniformed services. They just do a job not everyone cant handle… they go to psychologist for a reason.

Murder of civilians is a complex topic… and a really sad one. Sometimes civilians attack soldiers on duty in some countries and sometimes they are involved in the damage done without reason (this is bad for me).

In a peaceful world where humans did not have the need for warfare… (following your line of thought) I would think it is unnecessary.

I imagine it’s much the same as working for a big oil firm at this point.

There’s an old ethnography about people working at one of the big finance companies right before the 2007 disaster. The anthropologist asked a lot of them what they thought about their work and a lot of them were like “Well, it’s a disaster and it’s destroying society and it’s all going to come crashing down soon but Idk what else to do”.

It’s exasperating that graffiti is now terrorism. This was obvious way back during the early GWOT with the passage of USAPATRIOT that we were going to get to this point but it’s still like really? Really? You’re going to slap me with a terrorism enhancement for writing on a mailbox? JFC.
