    Well, that went in an unexpected direction.

      Not really though. She was his PA, and that just doesn’t work anymore after these kinds of allegations (and for this it doesn’t matter if they are true or not)

        Yeah but a company the size of RB, it would’ve been typical for them to move her to a different but similar role.

        Suspension with pay actually makes it sound like either she’s taking Horner or the company to court, or they’re in the early stages of sacking her and they want to limit her access to others in the company.

    Retaliation for filing a claim of sexual harassment or inappropriate workplace behavior is not looked upon kindly by courts or arbitrators.

    Red Bull just stepped in a pile of shit, the easier option is to just settle, cut a check, and move her to a new department. Give Horner some HR training and issue a statement saying the internal matter has been settled to all parties satisfaction, blah blah blah, and no real story in the media.

    Strange decision from a PR management perspective.

      Seeing as the investigation was resolved in his favour, suspension or even firing seems reasonable in that context.

      However, if that leak is honest they will be in the shit. The sticking points for me are;

      Was the independent investigator given this material while the investigation was underway?

      Were they verified by that investigation?

      I frankly don’t see such a prestigious firm finding the claim as being unsubstantiated if they had access to them. It would seriously damage their reputation if they did so, which would lead to them losing much more money in the long run than they would get off Red Bull.

    Wow, this is bad. Fuck red bull and Fuck horner. Those messages are certainly real and this is a disgrace to all women.

    You would suspend both parties while the issue is resolved/investigated if it were handled properly without intent to punish her.

      What messages? I don’t see any reporting on what the allegations actually are outside of “inappropriate behavior” and “emails were leaked” but with no context.

            I think the point is that what started as friendly banter, continued, even after she asked him to stop. And it got to a point where it was not funny anymore. This was definitely creating a hostile environment, and she loves RB, and wants to be there…it’s unfair that because someone in power set their eyes on her, or is incapable of showing how bad he’s making things for someone who cares about him at a professional level, she now HAS to leave for her own sanity. She shouldn’t have to leave. And this dude should stop.

            After seeing this, I get why the Verstappen’s said what they said. This is not fair. And RB is probably more than CH.

  • Can we get any more Streisand effect? Like every time I hear something about this I feel like I know less. They really need to get in front of this and everything they are doing is the opposite.

    I believe this is a power play between Horner and Verstappen family at this point. I’m not defending anything Horner allegedly did, but it clearly isn’t just a workplace harassment case…
