this is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve said this on lemmy - but I cannot understand how she faced absolutely zero consequences from exposing herself and heavy rubbing in a crowded theatre.

Ideally that wouldn’t be a crime unless they were involving someone nearby involuntary (potentially just as a witness). Usually if people get frisky just ask them to leave and leave it at that - we don’t need more people on the sexual offenders list.

That, at least, is the standard I’d like evenly applied.

It’s also like she has done enough political nonsense that her giving a handy way back, to her overage bf in a bowling alley or whatever is kind of a non issue at this point. You can now point to a bunch of public reasons why she should not be a political leader, regardless of her sexual proclivities of the past or present.

Yeah, I’m not hopping onboard that opinion. If you expose yourself in a sexual manner(despite trying to be discreet) in a theater filled with people, you deserve to be labeled a sex offender. There could be children in the crowd or working as ushers.

There’s already way too many stories of men and to a lesser extent women exposing themselves to people in public.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

But as Boebert desperately fights to keep her congressional career alive, the MAGA firebrand will need to dispel concerns about her controversial behavior – and accusations of carpetbagging – as she tries to convince voters in an entirely new district that she is best suited to represent a rural seat in eastern Colorado.

Boebert says the decision to relocate was based on personal reasons – namely, wanting a fresh start following a messy and public divorce – and not politically motivated, though the move undoubtedly better positioned her re-election chances.

The move provided a big and unexpected boost for Boebert, who had sent a letter to the committee before the meeting imploring them not to tip the scales by tapping someone who was also planning to run in the primary.

But even though it’s a reliable Republican seat, having Trump’s endorsement is not enough to carry a candidate over the finish line, according to a GOP strategist familiar with the district, which is heavily populated with ranchers and farmers who see agriculture policy as a top priority.

Aside from Trump, she also has the support of Speaker Mike Johnson, who hosted a fundraiser for the congresswoman earlier this year and has made an effort to protect embattled incumbents in primaries, according to a source familiar with the event.

While Boebert has publicly feuded with other Republican lawmakers – including GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene – she has found close allies inside the Freedom Caucus.

The original article contains 1,560 words, the summary contains 244 words. Saved 84%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

If she and Margarine Failure Gangrene had an Onlyfans together, they could clean up on MAGA views. Then they could retire from public office and leave it to the grown ups,
