Would be great to be able to post gifs straight from the keyboard. Currently greyed out and gives a message of this app does not support gifs here

Oh I would love for this to work. Ideally, it doesn’t upload the picture and embeds it from the original source.
As a workaround, I did the following
- Tap the emoji icon
- Navigate to the GIF tab
- Find a gif, tap on it once, and press the external icon on the bottom of the gif
- Paste the link in this format
I’d love to see this supported as well. Reddit didn’t support images / gifs in the post but Lemmy does
