My mom works in the labor and delivery department at the local hospital. I won’t say it’s terribly common but, on several occasions, people have been brought in actively in labor but insist there is no possible way that they’re pregnant. The mind boggles.

Unfortunately it is because of people like that that most hospitals insist on pregnancy testing every woman that comes in for anything regardless of what they say.

      people like that

You mean people told their entire life that they are bad and not okay for having sex and then try to do everything in their power to deny reality and stave off the inevitable shame and harm that’s going to be poured onto them by the people who are supposed to love and protect and teach them?

I think we should have some compassion for ‘people like that’ myself.

I’ve known someone who was pregnant and not known it, and it wasn’t due to any of your made up story.

Multiple pregnancy tests, even done by doctors, came up negative.

Doctors didn’t know she was pregnant until she went into labor.

You should educate yourself, lest you sound like the ignorant people you made up.

I once got asked if I’m pregnant at a hospital. I don’t have a uterus because I’m trans. I think maybe the doctors are being a little too careful
