I had a lesson in friction really early on in childhood trying to use this barefoot. Even braking at a super slow speed got that thing HOT.

I had to reread this twice before I realised you mean with the rear brake and not the dumbass method of putting your foot to the ground to brake.

Wait, who said we had one of the most complex and durable skeletal systems in nature?

Yeah! The foot may be super complex, but it’s not durable AT ALL!!! It’s super ticklish! All you gotta do is strap someone down to their bed, and tickle their foot for like 2 minutes, and they’ll give you their bank account details!

And if they don’t know their bank account number by heart, then I guess they’ll just have to get tickled…all…night…long!

Hey, come lay on this bed for a second. I want to test these straps on you. What? No. Totally unrelated. Pinky swearsies.

Actually that reminds me that I scraped a flap of skin off my toe as a kid when I tried riding a scooter in sandals.

Can someone eli5? Are people out there running over their own feet on razor scooters? Its difficult for me to imagine how that might be a common issue.

If you lift it by the handlebars the platform is free to swivel around, the platform can swing unexpectedly fast, it prefers to be inside your ankle.

It’s more getting chopped in the ankles than running over feet ime (still shouldn’t be common, but kids are dumb)
