    In all honesty, the British (and everyone else) do have a rightful claim to ownership of ancient Egyptian artifacts. That’s where civilization began basically, at least at that scale. Sure, it was mostly the Romans who forced “civilization” on to the British Isles, but they were directly influenced by the Egyptians. So, there’s a connection there. Ancient Egyptian culture is basically ally important to everyone. They traded all over the known world. So, everyone has a legitimate claim to these artifacts.

    Sure, Egypts claim is stronger and the properties are not fairly divided anyway. But I just wanted to illustrate that the problem is not solely about the British having stolen these artifacts. It’s a valid and strong argument, but not the only argument.
