I was wondering what exactly should I do there to help with that.

You say there must be a calorie deficit, but I’m currently on a low-carb (not keto) diet. It is pretty efficient, but I’m not watching my calorie intake. Can you explain me how/why that works?

All diets are a means of being calorie deficient. What matters is which diet works the best for keeping you feeling “full” or altering your desire to inhale every carb on the planet. In your case keto is working for you, but at the end of the day, the weight loss mechanism (calories out is more than calories in) is still the same.
