This is not opinion or leftist. It’s news about fighting in the party, which is factual, recent, and on-topic.

Removal of this post is admitting that this sub is only about being a safe space for conservatives to circle-jerk while ignoring reality.

I encourage a discussion about the recent conflicts inside the party, how that might impact the party moving forward, and what can be done to prevent this divide.

I mean this with no insult. You’re in the wrong party if you want any of those things. And I’m curious, what DO you like about the Republican Party today, and don’t say taxes.

No I’m in the right party. I’m not a rabid racist like the democrats. I’m against large government. I’m against wages theft through taxation.

You know that slavery, kkk we’re all democrat things and still are?

There is nothing positive in me about the democrats.

You must be really old if you can recall a time when democrats discriminated against people based on race. ;-) Parties change. The modern GOP is all about big government, control of people, censorship, and racism.

But, your answer said all I need to know about your actual position.

        Thanks

They still do. They just dress it up and call it diversity now-a-days. Just look at college admissions for a good example.

Well, I think college admission should be done entirely by a computer, that simply takes that person‘s transcripts and accomplishments, and what not, to decide if they are accepted. Not human interaction.

But I can understand how a white person might feel disappointed if they had to go to a less convenient college because their first pick didn’t have any more slots.

I suppose we should be sure the balance of men and women isn’t taken into consideration too?

What about scholarships based on financial need? If a college wanted to accept a certain number of people on scholarships per year, that might cut the open slots for wealthy while males.

Not just white people, Asians are the most affected by Affirmative Action.

I know it’s not possible to be perfect (There are idiots and assholes in every large group, including college admissions), but imo effort should be made to be race and sex blind. Right now, effort is being made to the opposite.

The democrats still discriminate against people based on race. It’s a core part is their platform.

And no, you have the gop wrong. Covid proved that the gop wasn’t about control. They let people make informed decisions about their health. The democrats wanted to force vaccinations and mask on everyone.

Seems like you don’t know much about the GOP

What are the major Republican talking points? Trans? Drag? It’s like you’re not being told what the GQP is actually.

Also, that article is labeled opinion, and those aren’t facts.

Small government. Lower taxes. Protection of constitutional rights. Freedom of association.

Not sure what drag. Trans means. Some context would be useful.

Well, unless you’re extremely wealthy, the Republican Party has not lowered taxes for the middle class in the past 20 years or so. Obviously, there is a lot to consider like tax credits, etc. But that blanket statement of “Republicans lower taxes “is not entirely accurate.

According to whom? Both of these things have always been far right ideologies. Are you forgetting the two main parties switched in name a century ago?

Richard Spencer is the neo-Nazi who started the rally I just fucking asked about! The rally called “Unite the right.” He’s a right-wing crank - he fucking came up with the term alt-right.

Jesus fuck, this crank opinion piece really tries saying the Nazi who runs a right-wing propaganda campaign and promoted a right-wing rally for other Nazis is totes mcgoats sincere and logical when he claims he’s not right-wing. Guys. Nazis like you. Any time they claim to be socialist - they immediately start murdering actual socialists.

Do you need a fucking diagram for why an ideology that hates queer people, academia, and feminism keeps showing up at your events?

I am not a Nazi troll.

The Nazis supported Biden. Spencer endorsed Biden. Let that sink in.

                    Spencer’s a right-wing troll. And a fucking Nazi.

Spencer created the brand that the Republican party endorsed.

When that sneering bigot says ‘actually I’m left-wing,’ that is literally what the Nazis did. And you still fall for that?

                    What a worthless conversation.
