Voters in Wyoming’s capital city on Tuesday are faced with deciding whether to elect a mayoral candidate who has proposed to let an artificial intelligence bot run the local government.

Earlier this year, the candidate in question – Victor Miller – filed for him and his customized ChatGPT bot, named Vic (Virtual Integrated Citizen), to run for mayor of Cheyenne, Wyoming. He has vowed to helm the city’s business with the AI bot if he wins.

Miller has said that the bot is capable of processing vast amounts of data and making unbiased decisions.

Are people in Wyoming considered that dumb? I mean, I get that they’re very rural and that probably means Fox News and lacking of critical thought, but this seems like something even deep conservatives should be able to judge. Maybe I don’t know how bad things are.

Hey, you used the proper ellipsis character. Good job!

      https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_United_States_presidential_election_in_Wyoming

      70% to 26.5%

There’s a literal supermajority of fascists in the state now. He lost basically no support after his presidency, the 2016 numbers are similar.

Compare to Tennessee, which had roughly 70% Trump results in 2016, dropping to 60.5% in 2020.

A significant portion of America started wising up by 2020. Wyoming doubled down. I don’t particularly think they’re going to reverse the course, they’re literally dumb and angry.

Even if you don’t consider Trump voters dumb by default, consider:

      https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-general/2024/wyoming/

If you trust those polls, not only has Trump openly embracing fascism cost him just 2 points, Brain Worms Kennedy was basically just as popular against Biden and did relatively well against Trump himself.

The state is full of morons.

Now, obviously this is “moron” in the cultural and educational sense, the Blazing Saddles “salt of the earth” sense, not the basic mental capacity sense, but that still leaves us with zero confidence in Wyoming ever picking the correct answer in a vote.
